Saturday 13th November marks World Kindness Day, which inspires people to participate in acts of kindness, whether that be with family, friends, colleagues or even strangers.
Showing small acts of kindness can make a huge difference. It is especially important to spread kindness with recent events. Although people are coping better with the stress of the pandemic after restrictions have been lifted, there are still many people that are reporting that it has had an ongoing negative effect on their mental health.
There isn’t just the pandemic to think about. A person may be experiencing other personal issues in their lives that you don’t know about. Showing a little kindness through words and actions has shown to benefit our mental health and wellbeing by reducing stress, improving self-esteem and boosting happiness.
