idverde is pleased to welcome Phil Haigh as the latest addition to its Greenspace Development Team, which supports idverde’s clients in a range of added value activities, from community engagement to biodiversity action plans.
Phil is based on idverde’s Telford and Wrekin contract where, in his role as Community Development Manager, he will build productive relationships with all areas of the community, including Parish Councils, friends groups, volunteers and local residents.
Having joined idverde from his previous role of Police Community Support Officer for Telford, Phil already knows the area and local people well and is looking forward to continuing to build successful relationships in his new role with idverde.
Phil says: “Since I joined idverde in May, myself and Rita Gries [idverde/RSPB partnership’s Community and Nature Engagement Officer] have already run a Mini-Beast Safari for children in Granville Park. The event was very popular and we are planning to hold more events in the Telford area. I’m also looking forward to attending future events held by parish councils and have started to build relationships with Telford’s volunteer groups and intend to help them continue with the great work they do.
“I also intend to run volunteer days and welcome any company to get in contact if they are interested in arranging volunteering sessions for their staff in the local area.”
Phil can be contacted via idverde’s Telford office, phone 01952 567004 or email TelfordandWrekinenquiries@idverde.co.uk
