idverde, the UK’s leading green space management company, is delighted to have become a Platinum Partner of Perennial – the UK’s only charity dedicated to helping everyone who works in horticulture, and their families, when times get tough.
Dedicated to supporting more than 7,000 colleagues across the UK and Europe, idverde is the UK’s leading grounds maintenance and landscaping provider. The company also grants up to £40,000 per year to local projects via its Community Investment Fund, a charitable initiative aimed at empowering communities to deliver sought after projects to improve their green spaces and boost wellbeing.
idverde HR Director, Andrea Gomm, says: “We know that people can find themselves in challenging circumstances, and the current health crisis has meant that more people throughout the horticultural industry may need extra support and advice through no fault of their own. Now more than ever we recognise our industry needs to work together. We are therefore thrilled to become a Perennial Partner supporting the invaluable work the charity does to support our community.”
Helping people in horticulture for over 180 years, Perennial provides free and confidential advice, support and financial assistance to individuals and their families working in and retired from horticulture. It offers vital help for horticulturalists facing challenges such as ill-health, accident, and financial hardship, to redundancy or bereavement.
Perennial, Marketing & Fundraising Director, Anita Bates added: “As a charity, our work depends entirely on the support of the horticultural industry, its suppliers, and the public. During this very difficult time when income has dropped significantly donations are more important than ever.
“Our heartfelt thanks go out to idverde. As a platinum partner their support will help us maintain our free and confidential advice and financial support for those most in need. Thanks to all our generous supporters we will also be providing help with the cost of school uniforms for hard-hit families working in horticulture with ‘Back to School’ support.”
