idverde wins two BALI National Landscaping Awards

Leading grounds maintenance and landscape creation provider, idverde, has won two BALI National Landscaping Awards. The company has been recognised for its Abbotts Lane Linear Park and Alfred Place schemes, which demonstrate idverde’s commitment to creating nature-based solutions which bring communities together.

Abbotts Lane Linear Park in Coventry won the Community & Schools Development category, and received warm praise from the judges:

“The Abbots Lane Linear Park is a great example of how modern urban regeneration can make a huge difference to the surrounding community. It is a thoughtful use of derelict ground and the spark of an idea from a local resident has led to a transformation of the space in a relatively short space of time. I heard multiple stories of what a difference the development has made to the local community and going forward how it will continue to gain momentum as a hub of the community.”

idverde was also recognised for its work at Alfred Place, a transformation of an area running parallel to Tottenham Court Road in central London. Working to plans by LDA Design, the company created a biodiverse garden area that retains the existing mature trees and adds a range of other planting to soften the area. This scheme won the Hard Landscaping Construction (non-domestic) over £500k category.

“A challenging site which idverde have managed well throughout project delivery including complex utility requirements,” the judges commented. “The overall finish of the scheme has satisfied the client and its brief. The scheme is obviously well used and execution, overall, is to a high standard.”

idverde’s UK Development Director Saul Huxley said:

“We are delighted to win two prestigious BALI National Landscaping Awards for these transformative projects. Both Abbotts Lane and Alfred Place are outstanding reflections of idverde’s commitment to creating and maintaining biodiverse spaces that bring communities together. As always, this work is all about our teams on the ground, who work tirelessly to build and maintain these spaces, and we are extremely grateful to the BALI judges for recognising our work.”
