idverde’s team were invited to provide commercial landscaping services that would satisfy the brief given for Mayland Gateway, Hemel Hempstead.
More projects for Various clientsSituated across from the BSI Headquarters, the brief was to install commercial landscaping at McDonalds, Costa and a roundabout nearby that was consistent with the existing architectural landscaping and predominantly involved
high density planting.
The time frame for completion was the main challenge as we had a month to complete Phase 1, which was the majority of the landscaping package. Phase 2 is due to start later in the year in the area around Aldi. During the pre tender meeting, we were able to give logistical advice and planting suggestions that allowed for a better result upon completion and which enabled them to meet their tight deadlines. The entrance to the estate was greatly enhanced by making good areas and adding to the existing but rather sparse hedging giving an overall mature look, as if this had always been so. This provided a lead in that was pleasing to the eye rather than a poor first impression.
James Burnett – Senior Quantity Surveyor commented: “The landscaping went very smoothly from tender to completion. idverde offered a compliant tender on budget and could meet our programme requirements. The pre-tender interview was very professional and resulted in exchanging ideas and defining the scope and programme to the benefit of the project. From there entering into Contract passed without issue and idverde were easy to deal with on site and delivered on their promises. A very successful project and I wouldn’t hesitate to use idverde again.”
