The Project

In August 2020 idverde was contracted to install a new Neighbourhood Park at a consortium development in Aylesham, Kent.

The project was successfully completed in November 2020 and the play area has now been handed over to Dover District Council following the completion of the housing development by Persimmon South Coast and Barratt Kent.

This project arose following the identification of a need to install a Local Equipped Area for Play (LEAP) as part of Persimmon South Coast and Baratt Homes’ development in Aylesham in Kent.

Due to our existing trading relationship with Barratt, idverde was delighted to have the opportunity to be involved with the design of the play area early in the planning cycle of the project. Our experienced play designers put together a suitable design which met the requirements of the local authority and ensured Section 106 obligations were met. Our experienced colleagues made sure that all paperwork was completed and shared with relevant parties to ensure a timely start on site.

The play equipment supplied is a durable metal scheme, comprising a mix of Vinci and Playdale equipment, and the handover was completed in good time and free of any defects.
Following the completion of Phase 1B of the housing development and the post-completion inspection of the play area, Dover District Council have now taken ownership of the play area.
