Transforming workspaces through interior planting at Lakeside North Harbour
idverde has delivered a comprehensive interior landscaping scheme for Lakeside North Harbour, one of Portsmouth’s leading business destinations, helping transform its workspaces into healthier, more engaging environments for occupiers and visitors.
Working across multiple buildings within the corporate campus, including the established 1000 building and the newly developed 2000 reception, idverde designed bespoke planting schemes that complement the site’s contemporary architecture and evolving workplace design.
As new collaborative furniture and breakout areas were introduced throughout the complex, the planting strategy was carefully integrated into the overall interior concept. From individual planters to enclosed lounge spaces, greenery was incorporated into the furniture design to create welcoming, flexible environments that encourage collaboration, wellbeing and everyday interaction.
The scale and openness of the buildings provided an opportunity to introduce large, mature specimen plants and feature trees. Species including citrus trees and palms were selected to create visual impact while reinforcing the premium character of the workplace.
To ensure the planting continues to perform throughout the year, idverde provides an ongoing maintenance programme, with regular visits covering watering, feeding, pruning and plant replacement where required. This proactive approach helps maintain healthy planting displays that continue to enhance the indoor environment over the long term.
The project demonstrates how interior landscaping can contribute to workplace wellbeing, strengthen corporate environments and create memorable spaces where people enjoy spending time.
